Kinship raids take a minimum of 12 people to be successful, the rules and guidelines are designed to help the raid get started and run smoothly. They're designed for the benefit of everyone on the raid. All pre-planned kinship raids will be advertised in the event planner, please sign up for raids you'd like to join in the planner at least two hours before the start of the raid. If for whatever reason you know you're not going to be able to make it, cancel your sign-up. If you sign up and don't turn up, you slow down the start. We all know that real life can get in the way sometimes but it doesn't take a moment to cancel the sign-up. If you 'no-show' on a raid, you've delayed & irritated 11 other people. All raids have a start time, this is the start of the raid. You need to be ready to go at the start time - by this we mean, you're on the right character you're properly traited for the raid, you're in the right place for the summon, you have the food and pots you need, you know how to log onto ventrilo, you have the right gear equipped - all in all, you're ready to start the raid at the start time. If you don't know the answers to any of the questions about food, traits, gear, location - anything - the time to ask for advice is not at the start time! If you're unsure about anything you need before a raid - ask an officer or fellow kin member for advice in good time. We'll start forming the groups no later than 15 minutes at the raid start time - you should also log on to ventrilo by now. Please be online no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the raid. If you're not in game, on the right character, 30 minutes prior to the start, you will be considered a no-show and you won't be coming on the raid. We know this sounds harsh - but without this incentive to get online in good time, we spend long time as a kinship waiting around as we try to find a replacement. This rule applies to every kin member without exception. Don't forget, once the raid starts there is one raid leader. Please listen to the raid leader and don't overtalk on vent. While instructions and introductions to the raid tactics are being given, please listen and save your questions for the end. If you need to ask a quesiton, please do so at the right moment, if you don't get an answer straight away, consider using /ra channel. The raid leader will also explain the loot rules - these vary depending upon the instance but will always be explained prior to the loot being looted and are all designed for the benefit of the kinship as a whole. If you have any questions about these rules, please ask in /k kinchat or post a question in the forum on this site. We know this all sounds serious - but we all take part in raids to have fun, these rules are designed to minimise inconvenience for everyone and are based on courteous behaviour from all raid participants. |
